Reading and speaking-"Follow me" Primary Five

Primary Five

1. Birthday fun

Birthday parties are fun for me,
Giving presents one, two or three.
Playing games and eating cakes,
Climbing up the ladders, not the snakes!
Let's have parties every day,
No more school, just play, play, play.
Meeting friends and eating buns,
Make sure that we have lots of fun.

2. If you meet a giraffe

If you meet a giraffe,
Don't forget to give him a smile.
Count the brown spots around his neck.
See how many spots he has on his back.
Take a stick with you,
And count one by one from his bottom.
If he gives you a smile,
You can ride on his back.
He can lead you to the tallest tree,
Take you wherever you want to be.

3. I like to say hello to you

I like to say hello to you, wishing you a good day.
Can you hear the birds singing?
Can you see the big grey rocks on the road?
Do sit down on them, my friend, for you can take some rest in the morning.
I like to say hello to you, wishing you a nice day.
Can you smell the lilies?
Can you tell me what colour they are?
Do walk around, my friend, for you can feel peaceful in the morning.

4. I had a little daisy

I had a little daisy.
It looked like a small princess.
It danced in the air with its green waving hands.
I had a little daisy.
My mum put it in a vase bigger than a cat, and filled it with water.
I smiled to my daisy, I liked its white colour.
I danced in the living room and took a photo of it!

5. Footprints

I left my footprints on the sand and watched them follow me,
For every place that I have gone I saw them by the sea.
But when the tide came in, it washed my footprints all away and left no trace of them upon the sand I stepped on today.
No, no. My friends, could you stay?
You were the only friends that I had.

6. My friend Paula

Paula is my best friend. There are seven members in her family. She has two brothers and two sisters. She is the eldest daughter. Paula lives in a very small flat in Tsuen Wan. Paula never complains about this. She is always happy and thinks she can play with her brothers and sisters more.

7. When I grow up

When I grow up,
I'd like to drive a fast train
And travel everywhere.

When I grow up,
I'd like to knock on every door
And deliver the brown post.

When I grow up,
I'd like to dance on the stage
And sing a happy song.

When you grow up,
What would you like to do
And where will you be?
